Ayurveda represents an ancient holistic health system from India, supporting and guiding people to find a healthy way of life. While our main Ayurveda center in Bad Antogast/Oppenau is very near by, we are happy to make some of our Ayurveda services easier accessible for you in Oberkirch as well. The venue of our Sri Sri Ayurveda Oberkirch chapter, is a physiotherapy, which similarly focuses on improving people’s health condition.
The nicely established physiotherapy “Osteo Vital” is located in the Gewerbegebiet of Oberkirch. The rooms of Osteo Vital are spreading a very welcoming and pleasant atmosphere. We are happy to offer our services in this venue for about 2 days per month: our holistic Ayurvedic consultations with individual nutrition and lifestyle recommendations as well as talks on the holistic approach of Ayurveda – talks which welcome both Ayurveda beginners as well as participants with previous knowledge and/or experience in Ayurveda.
Not only our main Ayurveda wellness center, but also the main yoga center of our sister organisation “The Art of Living” which is specialised in holistic stress management and relaxation techniques like yoga, meditation, breathing techniques and ancient practical knowledge for the everyday life, are both located nearby in Bad Antogast/Oppenau. Here, with the Art of Living courses and Sri Sri Ayurveda massages and wellness programmes, you can dive deeper into relaxation. Health is complex. But how can the term “health” be defined exactly? Exactly this challenge was the beginning of Ayurveda. Ayurvedic health care from India is one of the oldest health sciences in the world and has existed for about 5,000 years.
Ayurveda is not just about treating existing diseases, but rather about preventing disease. Herbalism-based science focuses on achieving physical, mental and emotional balance. This is to be achieved through individualized recommendations and instructions for diet, daily habits and exercise.
The importance of Ayurveda has been further strengthened thanks to the recognition by the WHO (World Health Organization). This world’s oldest life science convinces with its holistic approach to understanding the nature of life and the desire to define the dimensions of health. Accordingly, life is a deep symbiosis of body, mind, senses and soul.
Conventional medicine lacks the insight that health is not just the absence of disease. Health also does not mean eating healthy foods and moving regularly. According to ayurvedic knowledge, health is in harmony with oneself and one’s environment, and Ayurveda is the guide on the unique path there.
Vishnu began his career as an Ayurvedic expert with a bachelor’s degree from the Sri Sri College of Ayurvedic Science and Research, India. To deepen his knowledge, he completed a pulse consultation training with Sri Sri Ayurveda.
So that not only people in India have access to the holistic health care of Ayurveda, Vishnu decided very quickly after launching his training to offer ayurvedic consultations worldwide. He traveled to countries such as Italy, Latvia and Spain, Sweden, Austria, Montenegro, Denmark, Switzerland, Poland, Slovenia, India and Iraq.
We value Vishnu for his empathy, adaptability and comprehensive expertise as an Ayurvedic specialist.
