Ayurveda is a holistic health science from the Indian subcontinent. The starting point of Ayurveda is the fundamental question of what health really is. This question marks the beginning of the 5000-year-old and thus world-oldest life science.
Ayurvedic health science defines the concept of life and levels of health. As a result, life is a fusion of body, mind, senses and soul. The mere absence of disease also does not automatically mean, according to Ayurvedic knowledge, that a person is healthy. Health is rather – health means achieving physical, mental and emotional harmony.
In order to achieve this harmony, the Ayurvedic knowledge treasure offers numerous recommendations and guidelines for our individual diet, lifestyle and exercise habits. Thus, the health care recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) is first and foremost, as opposed to conventional medicine, for the prevention of disease. Effective prevention is done by leading an individually appropriate lifestyle. If illnesses have already developed, Ayurveda offers recommendations for nutrition and lifestyle habits, among others. also based on herbalism treatment.
The consumption of organic food, exercise and the absence of disease symptoms do not automatically mean that we are healthy. Health is much more the harmony with ourselves and our surrounding world. Ayurveda offers a competent guide on the path to our very own health.
