Is health really just the absence of disease? Or is there perhaps much more behind it? These are the basic questions of Ayurveda. In the Indian subcontinent, an answer to this question was found within the framework of this world’s oldest health science 5000 years ago.
According to traditional Ayurvedic knowledge, health does not mean simply that we are not ill. Rather, health means having physical, mental, and emotional balance. How can this kind of harmony be achieved? Ayurveda recognizes the diversity of people and offers us individually tailored recommendations for lifestyle and nutrition.
The recognition of Ayurvedic teaching by the World Health Organization (WHO) affirms the holistic approach of Ayurveda. In contrast to conventional medicine, as we know it, Ayurveda already “treats” before diseases manifest themselves on the basis of symptoms.
The Ayurvedic way to health is so effective because it is holistic. Ayurveda is dedicated to the definition of the essence of life and the layers of health. Accordingly, life is a close symbiosis of body, mind and soul.
It is a misconception to assume that someone who moves regularly, eating organic food and showing no signs of disease externally, is equally healthy. Being healthy means being in harmony with oneself and one’s environment. Ayurveda is available on this challenging path as a comprehensive guide.
For Vishnu, health and the knowledge of Ayurveda are inextricably linked. As an Ayurvedic expert, he knows that health care needs to be sustainable and comprehensive. He laid the foundation stone of his career as Vaidya with his bachelor’s degree at the Sri Sri College of Ayurvedic Science and Research in Bangalore, India. After graduating, Vishnu completed a Pulse Consultation training course at Sri Sri Ayurveda.
Vishnu has always considered it his mission to make people accessible to Ayurveda even outside of India. He therefore decided to make a stop in various countries immediately after his training and to treat and advise local people. Among them were nations such as Italy, Latvia and Spain, Sweden, Austria, Montenegro, Denmark, Switzerland, Poland, Slovenia, India or Iraq.
Vishnu is characterized by empathy, competence and empathy.
