Yoga and Ayurveda, both holistic health traditions from India, are going hand in hand – since more than 5000 years – to provide practical tools on how to live a stress-free, and thus, a more happy and healthy life. Our Sri Sri Ayurveda Dresden venue is indeed combining both – Yoga and Ayurveda – under one roof.
Located near the Elbe river, the “Yogavilla Dresden”, hosts a variety of yoga classes in its cozy and very welcoming atmosphere. In addition, a second, beautifully arranged room provides space for wellness, massages and our Ayurveda consultations.
Here, we are providing our services once per month: Ayurvedic consultations with holistic lifestyle and diet recommendations. One of our local Sri Sri Ayurveda therapists, is also offering traditional Ayurvedic massages in the same place.
Our sister organisation in Dresden, The Art of Living Dresden, is also providing its services in the “Yogavilla”. The Art of Living Dresden offers weekly sessions on yoga, breathing techniques and meditation as well as weekend stress management workshops.
The Sri Sri Ayurveda venue in Dresden is located at: Yogavilla Madeleine Haseloff, Bautzner Straße 133, 01099 Dresden

Is the mere absence of illness actually synonymous with health? Or does not health include our body, mind and soul as well? Exactly these questions were at the very beginning of Ayurveda. Traditional health education is based on the answers that began over 5000 years ago on the subcontinent of India.
Our conventional medicine starts with the treatment of existing diseases. However, Ayurvedic health science has recognized that the basis of health lies in a way of life appropriate to the individual. A lifestyle that is based on personalized nutrition, exercise and appropriate living habits. It’s about achieving physical, emotional and mental balance. With this concept, the development of diseases can be effectively prevented.
The recognition by the WHO (World Health Organization) has further underlined the holistic approach of Ayurvedic teaching. Ayurveda, thanks to its millennia-old history, manages to define the essence of life and the levels of health. Health is therefore complex and comprehensive. Health is a fusion of body, senses and mind.
Health goes beyond “healthy eating,” regular exercise, and the mere absence of disease. Being truly healthy means being in harmony with yourself and the world around you. Health is not just there, it’s a journey. And Ayurveda is the way there.
